2014 Restoration of the fronts of the arabic-norman castle, S. Lucia del Mela, Italia

The castle of Saint Lucia del Mela, founded in 1000, on pre-existing Arab fortifications, and subsequently modified, currently presents alterations stylistically and historically incompatible with modern theories of restoration.

The project in a first stage proposes the restoration of the facades in their original configuration and wants to give back to the city its greatest symbol, bringing to light the Swabian-Norman architectural conceps, in all their simplicity and purity of geometry, typical of the period in which they were designed and built.

2011 Land-Sea Museum, Falcone, Italia

The municipality of Falcone has an ancient maritime tradition, linked to the fishing and the subsequent transformation of the products. The Museum will be inserted in the new marina-commercial.

The project aims to conserve and display in a symbol-building artifacts, tools and the historical testimonies we have received from the two complementary activities related to land and the sea. The museum has then the two souls of the primordial elements earth and water: its pillars are born directly from the sea surface and the sea enters metaphorically and physically into the building. The exhibition spaces have therefore a part in water, which will allow the arrival of visitors also from the sea, with the possibility to dock inside the museum, and it will also allow the display of boats and the organization of events. On the earth side, the exhibition aisles are lit from above, for optimal viewing of the exhibits.

2010 Touristic and commercial harbor, Falcone, Italia

On behalf of the town of Falcon, in support of the internal technical staff, it has been conceived the preliminary design for the new commercial marina.

The project proposes the creation of a wide-ranging initiative which can greatly contribute to the economy of the entire area, including the surrounding municipalities, and that can satisfy, at least in a small part, the remarkable missed request of berths and facilities for yachting in Sicily and the Mediterranean. Third objective of the project is to support the activities of the traditional small-scale fisheries, which languishes for lack of facilities. The new port area, with related services such as workshops, center, yacht club, Harbour Office, administrative offices, restaurants, aim to be a valid nautical center in the Mediterranean.
